In-home counseling is the primary service of Building Stronger Families, in the San Antonio, Texas, area. Clients have a free phone consultation for up to 15 minutes, and the first session is discounted $60.00 and is up to 2.5 hours. I am willing to drive up to 55 miles to help you. Some of my clients were north of Canyon Lake! Active military and their families & caregivers have a special rate, not just out of patriotism, but in honour of my parents who were officers in WWII - mother was in the Army Nurse Corp! As a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, Acupressure Psychotherapist, and my studies in psychoneurophysiology, I have tools that help clients start change quickly, and I have training in four specialties by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF), famous for work in personal and family trauma, and disasters. Currently I am furthering my studies in addictions, substance abuse, and relapse prevention/ maintenance because I met so many people whose self-medicating and curious using made their lives worse. As part of my service clients are expected to call me, even at 3 a.m. to coach them through situations they are finding too difficult to handle well. Those who do call me tend to improve more quickly.

Most people I help have resolution to their concerns within one to five sessions, though some need more. The number of sessions you will need is largely up to you. Being "outcome" oriented I believe in getting results by the third session if practicable.

If you are looking for "Anger Management" and are not Court mandated, I will be happy to help you with what's really going on, and I will teach you how to express anger in more appropriate ways. If this is for Court then you need to find a State of Texas approved Anger Management program, and I do not provide this because "group" sessions are required and I do not at this time do groups.
